Refund & Cancellation Policy (Digital Services)

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all services provided by Scalable Web Development.

2. Nature of services

Scalable Web Development delivers professional digital services focused on building and improving high-performing websites and online stores.

Services may include:

  • E-commerce website development

  • Shopify theme customization and development

  • Store optimization and technical improvements

  • User experience and layout improvements

  • Performance and mobile responsiveness optimization

  • Integration of essential apps, analytics, and tools

All work is delivered as custom digital development and consulting services for business clients.

Scalable Web Development:

  • does not sell physical goods

  • does not operate an online marketplace

  • does not collect or process payments from customers of our clients

  • provides development and consulting services only

3. Cancellation before work begins

If a project is cancelled before any work has started, the full payment will be refunded.

Work is considered started once planning, design, development, configuration, or technical setup begins.

4. Cancellation after work has started

Since every project is custom and based on time and expertise, refunds after work has started are calculated based on the portion of work already completed.

If a project is cancelled after work has begun:

  • You will be charged only for the completed work

  • Any unused portion of the payment will be refunded

Completed deliverables, implemented features, or finished project phases cannot be refunded.

5. Milestone-based work

Many projects are completed in stages or milestones.

When a stage is delivered and approved, or when the client confirms to proceed to the next step, that stage is considered completed and the related payment becomes non-refundable.

If any issue appears at a milestone stage, we will work with you to correct it before moving forward.

6. Revisions and adjustments

Reasonable revisions that fall within the originally agreed scope are included.

Requests that introduce new features, additional pages, new integrations, or major structural changes may require a separate quote. These changes will always be discussed and approved before work begins.

7. Client responsibilities

Project timelines depend on receiving necessary access, materials, and feedback from the client.

Clients are responsible for providing:

  • website or platform access

  • product or content information

  • brand assets and media

  • feedback and approvals when required

If necessary information is delayed, project timelines may be adjusted accordingly.

If there is no response from the client for 30 days, the project may be marked as inactive. The project can later be resumed, and any refund will be based on the work already completed.

8. If we are unable to deliver

If Scalable Web Development cannot complete the agreed service for reasons on our side, a fair refund will be issued for the portion of the work that has not been delivered.

9. Third-party services and costs

Some parts of a project may involve services provided by third parties. These costs are not controlled by Scalable Web Development and cannot be refunded once purchased.

Examples include:

  • premium themes

  • app subscriptions

  • hosting or domain purchases

  • external software tools

  • payment processing fees

Clients will always be informed in advance before any third-party cost is incurred.

10. Refund processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.

Processing times typically take 5 to 10 business days, depending on the payment provider or bank.
